In 2009, Josie was looking for additional sources of physical rehabilitation after years of being a competitive athlete, playing soccer and running while injured. Her orthopedic doctor had told her she would need surgery on her ‘70yr old’, cartilage lacking knee. Hesitant but, hopeful, she found herself taking her first Hot Yoga class and learned that day about the physical, mental and emotional benefits yoga would have on her life. Over the course of a year, Josie went from barely being able to walk a mile to being able to run a few miles.
After years of practicing hot yoga and dabbling in Crossfit at The Union, Josie was introduced to Inferno Hot Pilates (IHP) on July 4th, 2016! Again, she felt an instant love and decided to be fearless in the pursuit of what set her soul and glutes on fire. Josie completed IHP training in Jan. 2017 with Gabriella Walters and is currently working on earning her official IHP certification.
Josie has 9+ years of experience in Corporate America and her knowledge spans from marketing, public relations, advertising, consumer marketing, digital & social media, brand strategy, event planning/coordination, and independent consulting. She earned a B.B.A in Marketing and an M.B.A from The University of the Incarnate Word, H-E-B School of Business.
