Sofia Vidal

CROSSFIT LEVEL 1 TRAINER (CF-L1)

Sofia was born in El Paso, TX and raised in Cd. Juarez, Mexico. Along with her brother Jose Alberto, they crossed the bridge every day to attend school in El Paso in order to learn English. Sofia has always loved playing sports: soccer, skiing, golf, tennis, cross country, and now CrossFit + yoga. She has played competitive soccer from the age of six through her college career and now co-ed city league on the weekends.

After receiving a BA in Biology and BA in Spanish in 2009 Sofia was able to find a career that she loves and is passionate about. She graduated from UTEP with a BS in Nursing and moved to San Antonio in 2012 to find a new career and a new beginning. She has been an ER Registered Nurse for the Baptist system ever since. Her next step is to get her masters as a Nurse practitioner and to one day have her own family practice.

Sofia was introduced to yoga and CrossFit by Liz and her brother. Even though she has played sports all her life Sofia says, “with CrossFit and yoga this is the best shape I have ever been in.” She recommends the Union to everyone and believes that it not only molds people’s bodies and health but also makes you a part of an amazing community full of support. Sofia decided to get her CrossFit certification in Oct 2015 in order to be able to pass on her encouragement and love of the sport to others, no matter what athletic level.
