I am a junior at The University of Texas at San Antonio majoring in Biology and I aspire to become a Dentist. My best friend brought me to try Bikram yoga as a way to relieve stress and I was instantly hooked. After doing yoga for a little over a month I decided to try CrossFit and found my calling!!How often do you take class?
I try to take class about 5-6 days a week. I always plan to do at least one day of yoga but I usually end up at the box insteadWhat specific physical issues, if any, did you have before taking your first class?
Before trying Bikram yoga, I would feel pain in my upper back and knee.What are the greatest benefits of your practice?
I feel that the greatest benefits I have reaped from my practice are not only physical but mental as well. Being a student and having other responsibilities is challenging but knowing that I get to come to class and focus on myself for 60 minutes is something I look forward to.How has this practice changed your health and life? Any emotional or other benefits?
Honestly, coming to CrossFit keeps me sane. Not only have I improved in class but also the CrossFit and yoga have made me realize my inner potential in my everyday life.What is your favorite part of the yoga and or CrossFit?
My favorite part of CrossFit is that I come across new challenges that drive me to improve myself. Setting goals and accomplishing them along side having the support of such a wonderful community is something that I truly love.
