There is no school on life and unfortunately we don't come with a how-to manual when we are born. Life provides roads and getting lost seems to be part of the journey. My yoga journey began in April 2012 with the Union. In the beginning of my practice I thought I could hide in the back of the class and I assumed the heat hid my tears. Recovering from depression and divorce was easier with the practice. When the tears stopped running and I became more open to life, I discovered how I ALWAYS left feeling better. From there, I just wanted to learn all I could about this practice. Yoga school began for me with Baron Baptiste in Feb 2013 in Hilo, HI and July 2013 in Narobi, Kenya. Yoga has and continues to teach me tools to create less suffering in my life. Yoga cracked me open so that I could learn more about the self and taught me the beauty and the art in simplicity, empathy, compassion, and living an authentic life.
I have continued my yoga learnings with Art of Assisting in Jacksonville, FL, Wanderlust Festivals, teaching at multiple studios and locations in the community, and I have a BHAG (Big Hairy Audacious Goal) of gaining my 500hr at Dharma Yoga in New York.
I selfishly teach because I grow when you grow. Yoga helped me discover how much we learn when we share, when we hear other peoples stories. Through my own stories and teaching, I will inspire, empower, and motivate you to live a life that is authentic to you.
Yoga has the power to change your language, change your behavior, love more, trust more, heal, find your tribe, and get you spiritually aligned. It did all of this for me and it can do all of this for you. Just keep showing up.
